
Celebrate Nursing Virtual Event
Join the NNA Lincoln Area Mutual Interest Group for our annual Celebrate Nursing Virtual Event beginning on March 29th!
This virtual event is being delivered in two parts:
- Part 1) a live webinar via Zoom on March 29th at 5:30 pm with an informative presentation from Anne Boatright, MSN, RN, State Forensic Nursing Coordinator at the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office on what to know about human trafficking. Human trafficking in the Midwest is more prevalent than ever, but identifying potential victims in a healthcare setting can be challenging. Participate in the live webinar to learn strategies for recognizing signs and symptoms of victims as well as providing positive actions and resources to those at risk.
- Part 2) virtual, on-demand, evidence-based poster presentations on a variety of subjects. Poster Presentations will be available to registrants on-demand from March 29 thru April 7.

Accreditation
Participants will receive 1.0 contact hour for participating in the live, webinar on Human Trafficking.
The Midwest Multistate Division is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
What is the Midwest Multistate Division? The Arkansas Nurses Association, Kansas State Nurses Association, Missouri Nurses Association and Nebraska Nurses Association formed a collaborative, namely the Midwest Multistate Division (Midwest MSD), with the goal of promoting efficiencies and growth. As part of this collaborative, the Midwest MSD Professional Development Unit (PD Unit) was formed, which is accredited as an ANCC approver and provider of NCPD, to address the educational needs of nurses in the Midwest region.
